Dinner on the Grounds

Our church had their annual Dinner on the Grounds today at Legacy Park. We went to church for worship and then left to get ready. Everyone met at Legacy Park around 11:30 to begin dropping off food items. Then at 12:00 we ate what everyone brought. There was so much food!!! We took a blanket and sat on it as a family to eat.
Emma ate a good portion of mine and Scott's food and then when my mom, Krista, and Brandon got there, ate a lot of their food too!! It was hot so we went under the pavilion and walked around with Emma. She is now walking holding on to our hands. She kept wanting to get out of our laps so that we could walk around with her. It won't be much longer before she is walking on her own! :(

Birthdy Bash & Kisses

Emma went to a Sunday school friend's birthday bash on Saturday. She wore one of her new outfits (which also had green in it for St. Patrick's Day) to his party. It would have been great for her ladybug theme party she had. She ate everything in sight at the birthday party. As we were leaving, she was giving the birthday boy some hugs and he was giving her all kinds of sugar. It was so sweet!
Then Scott, Emma, and I went home to crash for a nap. Once we woke up, we went to the mall to look around and to eat at Moe's. Emma was such a happy girl at Moe's. She kept wanting to stand and turn around in the highchair. She LOVES eating their black beans.

Two of Her Loves

Emma experienced two of her loves on Wednesday while Scott and I were at church. The girl loves to swing and so she swang on my mom's fornt porch swing with her.
She also has recently become a fan of couch pillows. She has a love-hate relationship with them. She loves them one minute and then will scream when she either can't get it or wants them off of her. She played with the ones on the couch at my moms. She is such a happy girl!!

Ice Cream Lover

After I picked Emma up from my moms, we went to a newer children's clothing store in town. OJan bought Emma two outfits.....one being perfect for the weekend she had. The girl ate all kinds of ice cream this past weekend.
She wore it to church on Sunday and got all kinds of compliments of her cute outfit. She also loves to eat Cheerios as you can see in the picture.

Night Away

Emma went to stay the night away with OJan and Sandra last night. Scott and I went on a date to the movies. Emma's eating adventure started with powdered doughnuts. Then Emma went out to eat with them and Krista to Applebee's where she ate everything in sight.

Then she came back and had ice cream with them. OJan cooked her a big breakfast the next morning. The girl loves to eat. We enjoyed our date night and we know Emma loved her night away too!!

Our Show

We love American Idol. We have been watching it since it first came out when I was in high school. Last year we had a finale get together over here with two other couples and their babies. Emma was only 4 months old. She sat with us last night and watched it with us. Then she got down to play with some magazines. This year is neat because one of the top 12 is from our home town.......Phillip Phillips. He is great and I really hope he will be in it to win it!

Sunglasses & Big Girl Meal

So, it was 80 plus degrees today!! I got home from work and we put Emma in one of her new consignment sale outfits. I love consignment sales!! You get great clothes at even greater prices. This outfit was so cute. It is one of those little jumpers with spaghetti straps....CUTE! I won't be saying spaghetti straps are cute on her when she gets a little older and interested in boys, but for now they are cute. Scott found a pair of sunglasses she has and we put them on her. She was too little last year to want to wear them but she liked wearing these today. We can't wait for summer/beach time!!
We went to mall to pick up birthday gifts for Scott's dad and brother and decided to eat at Chick-fil-A before I went to help prepare for our Sunday School yard sale. We got Emma her first kids meal there and she LOVED it. She ate all of her grilled chicken, cinnamon applesauce, and had apple juice to drink. She is growing up so fast!!
Our Sunday School class has FIVE couples who are adopting and we are having a yard sale in the morning to split the proceeds between the families. I am so excited for these families!!!
