We had a play date earlier today and came home to rest on the couch. I have stopped making her nap during the day and she is doing great. She is a happy girl throughout the day. A lot of times she does not wake up until between 9:00 and 10:00, so her nap would fall later in the day and then she would not go to sleep until much later at night. But I do tell her she has to have rest time where she will lay down and watch a movie or a Mickey episode or two. I was so glad she crawled on the couch with me to cuddle!!
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11- We don't know the plans God has for Emma & Landon's life, but we are excited to be on the journey with them!!

Play Date at the Library
I took Emma to the library for their summer reading program this morning. We met a co-worker and her little girl, Abby, who was also in Emma's daycare class for part of this past year. The first part was for younger kids and was fast paced activities to keep their attention. The second part was for older kids and actual books were read to the kids. Then they had playtime until we left. Emma had fun and I plan on going every week until Landon comes.

Emma, Archer, & Lotion
Kalynn and Archer came over today to hang out for awhile! He got sleepy soon after getting here and tested out Landon's crib! He napped for about an hour. We ate lunch during that time. When he woke up, Kalynn mentioned he needed lotion on his legs. Emma helped me get some of Landon's and was so sweet rubbing it on his legs!
I am so excited that she is at an age where she will be such a big help to some of Landon's daily needs!! I can't wait to see her rub Landon down with lotion! :)

KidzBlast 2014- D3
I volunteered for VBS this week at my church. I worked in Emma's class (the 2-3 year olds). They were all so sweet the whole week. They rotated to different areas within the church. Ours was from 8:00-12:00 each day this week. Emma got to experience music time, story time, recreation time, craft time, and play time. She also was served breakfast and lunch while we were there. Here she is one day during crafts drawing a picture of herself. Her faces are really good. They include a head, two eyes, nose, and mouth. She will sometimes put the nose under the mouth. :)
Here she is one morning before we officially got started playing with the kitchen in her VBS room.
We had a blast this week!!

Big Sister in Training
We recently started pulling Emma's old baby equipment out that we plan on using with Landon. Emma has had a blast seeing it all. She decided to bring some of her stuffed animals to lay on the activity mat and then found a book to read to them.
This was one of her favorite books a year or so ago. We would read it to her every single night before bedtime!!!
I can't wait to hear her read to Landon!!

Checkup for Mommy
We had VBS this morning and then ran a few errands before going to my 34 week checkup. She crashed hard in the car while I was getting my oil changed. She woke up as I was pulling into the parking lot at my doctor's office.
She was bring super silly in the waiting room while we were waiting for my doctor.
When the doctor came in, she was right beside me holding my hand for comfort!! I love her sweet, compassionate heart!!!

PCB Beach Trip
We just got back from a long weekend stay at the beach. Emma left with my mom on Wednesday to head down to the beach. It was her first time away on vacation with me or Scott! We stayed home because we were working/had workshops to attend. We left Thursday after work to meet up with them for the rest of the weekend! I think Emma had enough "friends" to keep her company for the ride!

Here they are Wednesday once they arrived at the beach!
Wednesday night, mom and her friend Jill, and Emma went out to eat at Hook'd. They have awesome food! Emma was enjoying some smoked tuna dip!

She loves Jill!!
Then they got up and headed to the beach early Thursday morning. Emma was telling the workers that she is three years old!
We are so glad she likes the beach because we love it!!
They took a break to eat at Sharky's and Emma was being sassy!
Here we are Friday at the pool after going to the beach. We finally convinced Emma to test out her new goggles!
Saturday, we headed to St. Andrews since they have a calm area that is surrounded by big rocks so there are not any waves. Then on the other side of the sand hill is the side with waves so we went back and forth between the two sides. Emma went through a phase where she did not like her top to get wet, so we let her go topless! :) She probably would have been fine taking her bottoms off too but we didn't allow that of course!
Here I am 33 weeks pregnant hanging out in the shade!
My mom decided to head back home Saturday evening so she could prepare for her mission trip to Mexico. We ate pizza at Brick Oven Pizza and then let Emma do the jumpy thing that she was really wanting to do.
We got up Sunday and took our time leaving. We ate lunch and did a little shopping before heading home. It was such a nice trip!!
