Seacrest Beach Trip

We just got back yesterday from seven nights at the beach. We went to Seacrest Beach, Florida which is between Panama City Beach and Destin. It was the perfect location because it is not overly crowded like PCB and great for families! We have never stayed this long at the beach and it was great because my immediate family went along with my mom, brother, and his wife. We were good at accomplishing three main things while there: eating, riding bikes, and playing at the beach! Here is Landon Saturday morning as we were traveling to the beach. We stopped and ate Hardee's on the way down!
We went grocery shopping the night we got there. We did eat breakfast and most lunches at the beach house and even cooked three big dinners while we were there! These pictures of me and Emma are Monday night while we were waiting for a table for dinner at Seaside. Susan and Grandma Mary came down to spend the day with us. They stayed and ate dinner at Great Southern Cafe with us before heading back home.
We loved staying so long because we took one whole day to ride bikes and just take it easy and another day to go to Pier Park to eat and let Emma ride a few rides at their little amusement park. Here is Emma and Landon riding from Seacrest to Santa Rosa area.
Emma & Landon loved the beach!! Emma loved building sand castles and mermaids, splashing in the water, playing with Landon, swimming in the pool, and of course eating snacks on the beach! The last full day we were there, we stayed on the beach for probably six or seven hours and this baby below did awesome!! He played under the umbrella, sat in the sand, napped in the breeze, and ate goldfish!! :)

Mother's Day

Today was my first Mother's Day as a mom to two!!! We got up and got ready for church. Scott, Emma, and Landon gave me a Vintage Pearl necklace with the saying 'You are my sunshine' on it since I sing it nightly to the kids!!
Then after church, we took a few pictures outside the church together.
Then we met Brandon, Krista, and my mom for lunch. My mom took Emma with her to run some errands after lunch. My one wish was to get a Mother's Day nap and that is what I did after lunch. It was much needed and so nice! Then we got up and went to get Emma from my mom's before going to get a few groceries. Emma wanted to play in makeup at my mom's and this was the outcome. Ha!!! I promise we wiped it off before going to get groceries.

Dance Recital- Year Two

Emma just had her second dance recital. She has completed two years of dance. It is amazing to watch her and see how much growth she is showing from last year to this year! This year she had two different recitals- one at 10:30 and another one at 6:30. She was excited to eat her ring pop and get her flowers from us after her recital. She has been talking about getting flowers for a few weeks now. :)
We then went outside to get some pictures of her and all the family that came to watch her.
My brother and his wife came to the 6:30 show to see her dance.
The flowers that she received from her recital. Scott said I will always have fresh flowers for Mother's Day because it is always the day after her recital. :)

Cruising in the Buggy!

We got up Saturday and got ready for our day! Landon was having fun chewing on these Batman cars that Santa just had to get Landon for Christmas. :) When Scott got back home from taking pictures of Spring sports, we went to our newest McDonald's to grab lunch. Landon had his taste of his first french fry.
Then it was off to get groceries for the next week. We decided to go to Publix. Now that Landon is sitting up, he was able to help drive our buggy! He loved sitting up and looking all around the store and at people. He kept smiling at people that we would pass.
After we left Publix, we rushed home to unload the car and to drop off Scott and Landon. Emma and I then went to her dress rehearsal for her recital next Saturday.
Our family outings are becoming more fun the older Landon gets now that he is not always in his infant seat.
