Car Washing Sweeties

Landon and Emma helped Scott wash my car. Landon was trying to stay dry! :)
Emma gave up helping, but Landon stuck it out until the end.
 He sure is a cutie!!!

We went to Wild Adventures today. We were suppose to go with Archer, Louis, and Iris but Iris got sick right before they headed out the door to meet up with us. So we went with Kalynn and Archer. The kids had a lot of fun!

Hawaii Made Us Do It

We knew Scott would be getting a new vehicle before the year was up, but just not this soon. We test drove a jeep while in Hawaii and Scott fell in love with it. So here we are with his new ride! :)

Busy Week of Swimming

Emma and Landon have had a fun week. They went to a camp that is held at a lady's house who we go to church with and she just happens to like around the corner from us. It is very convenient for us. They are going a week in June and then another week in July. They do crafts, swim, play, and eat while at Mrs. Cindy's house. This is the first year Landon is old enough to go and he had a blast being there with Emma.
We wrapped up camp yesterday with a trip to the gas station for a popsicle!!
Today, we went to swim with some friends from Tennessee who were in town visiting friends. Their girls, Olivia & Georgia love Emma & Landon.
Then we wrapped up tonight by going to a birthday party for one of Landon's church friends. It was a swimming party with a mermaid theme.
They are in the middle of singing Happy Birthday in this picture. :)

Visit to North Carolina

My mom met her birth dad recently, but he had recently had a stroke and was recovering from it. She made another trip back to North Carolina to see him and took the kids with her. They enjoyed meeting him!
Here are the kids with my mom's birth dad and birth mom(whom she met 7 years ago).
My mom with her birth parents. Her parents have not seen each other in probably 60 years.
While they were in the area, they also got to hang out with one of NaeNae's brothers, Phillip. The kids take pictures in this exact tree every time they make a trip with NaeNae to North Carolina.
On the way back home, they stopped at Build-a-Bear.
Landon loved going through the building process.
They made a kitty cat and a monkey.

Chehaw Comes to the Library

For part of their summer program, the library had the animals from Chehaw come to visit. After the animals were presented, the kids there for the show could go and pet the animals. Emma and Landon both enjoyed meeting all of the animals they wouldn't normally get to touch otherwise.

Georgia & Her Knee

We got back from paradise and thrown right back in to real life. I noticed Georgia was limping on her leg yesterday so I took her to the vet. They were thinking it was her knee but wanted to get a better look, so Scott took her today so they could sedate her to look at her knee better. It is indeed her knee and she will need surgery to fix it and prevent her from getting arthritis. She is only two years old and we wouldn't want her in pain.

Family Game Night

This evening we played Emma's Frozen game and then a fishing game. Landon is at a good age where he can understand and play a lot of the games we have collected over the past couple of years.

Staycation with NaeNae

The kids stayed with NaeNae while we were away on vacation to Hawaii. Emma found one of my old stuffed animals from when I was a little girl. They stayed busy and had a blast while at NaeNae's for 8 nights!

Best Trip Ever- Hawaii

So Scott and I just got back from an amazing trip. Hawaii has always been our number one destination dream spot and we finally made it a reality. We celebrated our tenth anniversary while in Hawaii. Here is a very quick snapshot of some of our trip. Here we are flying out of Atlanta early Monday morning. We were so excited, but had about 11 hours worth of flying before we would land in Maui.
We landed in Maui about 3pm their time and got our rental jeep and then headed to our resort. We made a stop along the way at this gorgeous cliff and decided to get our first official Maui picture.

Tuesday we did some sight seeing. Then went to bed pretty early because we had to be up at 1:30 to get ready for our sunrise/bike adventure that would happen super early Wednesday morning. We left the resort about 2:30am in order to make it to the bike shop by 3:30am. Here we are before boarding the van that would take us to the top of the volcano. It was a fun trip because of the tour guide/history part they told as we drove to the top.

Here we are above the clouds watching the sun rise. It was breathtaking and just another way that we serve a creative God.
Here we are at the top of the volcano after the sun has risen. It was a good 30 degrees cooler up there so we were thankful for our bike gear to keep us a little warm.
We got back in the van and rode down a short distance before getting out and onto our bike to ride the rest of the way down the volcano. It was pretty steep, curvy, and fast to begin with but then we got on back country roads and it was a much more relaxed bike ride.
After our bike ride, we made it back to the resort and crashed for a nap. After we woke up, we got ready to walk to a nearby shopping/eating village.

Thursday, we stayed at the pool all day before getting ready to go to a luau at our resort. We made sure to book the luau on our actual anniversary. Here is a pic from the center part of our resort looking out at the ocean. It had awesome views.

Here we are about to walk over to the luau. The food was just alright, but the show was amazing and worth the money spent to have the closest table for the show.
On Friday, we went and did more sight seeing. We took the top off the jeep for our drive.
Saturday, we had reservations at a highly recommended restaurant. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere, view, food, and service were all so great! Here is our view out the window by the two person table where we ate our lunch.
Here we are outside of the restaurant by the ocean.
And here we are by the entrance boat sign to the restaurant.
Here we are leaving out Sunday to head to the airport. We decided to stop at the same place where we took our first picture of our trip to also take the last picture of our trip. It was the best trip and we are looking forward to our next trip back to Maui. Emma wants to join us on our next trip to Hawaii. :)
