Sunny Sunday by the Pool

Our friend, Kalynn, asked us to come over to her house yesterday to go swimming. We were getting together with Brittany, Erica, and John as well. We came home from church to change and ran to Burger King to grab something to eat. Cali even got to go with us. We got to Kalynn's and ate our food. Kalynn blew up Emma's little pool and her pool float. She went straight in her little pool. The cold water did not bother her at all. The big pool's water was chilly, so you had to warm up to it. Emma could have cared less. She wanted to get in that pool so bad!! She even took 5 or 6 steps all by herself while we were there. Yes, my fearless child decides to take steps on concrete and by a pool. She did not want to sit in any of her floats for long.......even after Scott went to go buy her a bigger one. She wanted to be in the pool as much as she could. I am getting her some swim lessons this summer. She loves to go swimming!! I have a feeling we will be at Kalynn's a bunch this summer. It will not be very relaxing to me, but Emma will love it! Emma and Cali both crashed on the way home.
Emma slept another hour and half once we got home. I love how her sweet little hand is resting on his arm. I love these two with all of my heart!!!!!

A Beautiful Place to Get Married

We went to our good friend, Matt's, wedding this past Saturday.
It was about 30 or so minutes from where we live and in the country. It was such a nice place. It sat on about 800 acres. It sat back a couple of miles off the main road. The road was curvy and it had tons of timber trees and a couple of ponds along the way.
We took another curve and got the view of the wedding site, a gazebo over looking a pond. It was so pretty and peaceful. We rode there with a some good friends of ours, Kalynn, Aaron, and Erica.
Erica's husband, John, was signing in the wedding. Emma did so good during the ceremony. She sat so still in my mom's lap during the whole thing. She would talk some but it did not get too loud thank goodness. She just sat there and ate her goldfish and drank her juice.
Then we went to the cute cabin/deck where we ate BBQ, potato salad, baked beans, pasta salad, and rolls. We took Emma to look at the pond for a little bit.
There were several good friends of ours there from the church we all grew up in. The place had a nice playground set for the kids to play on, which was great. The kids stayed on it most of the reception. Emma got to swing after we ate.
The wedding cakes were great too. Emma loved eating them as well. After the dancing started, we headed home since Emma was getting tired. She fell asleep about 5 minutes after we left.

Weekend Recap

We had such a laid back weekend. On Friday, we went out to eat at Outback and then came home to play. My dad came over for a couple of hours on Saturday morning while Scott was helping a friend take pictures. Mom kept Emma on Saturday night. Scott and I had a date night. We went and saw The Last Song. We got the last two tickets so it was a packed movie. Then we went grocery shopping.........fun, I know!! We got up and went to church on Sunday. Mom got to see what it was like to get ready with a toddler :). Emma went to church with her. Here is a pic my mom sent while she was getting ready for church. If you remember, I recently posted how funny Emma was being when she would shut her eyes and smile........well, she did it for my mom too.
Then mom, Brandon, Krista, and Josh came over for lunch. We fixed pot roast with potatoes, carrots, and onions. It was so good. We also had cornbread. Brandon and Krista brought over dessert. Once everyone left, we had a family nap. I love those!! Scott had today off. He went to the doctor and then went out on Josh's boat. He got Emma from school to take her to the doctor for a shot she missed at her 15 month check-up. He is at a softball game and Emma and I are playing with blocks.

She got so excited when I turned the camera on my phone where she could see herself.
We enjoyed our weekend..........hope you did too!!

Funny Funny Girl

Emma and I had such a fun time together together today after I picked her up from daycare. We were waiting on daddy to get home from work. She was eating some Vanilla Wafers and Cali was wanting some of them.
I forgot I had my flash turned on while taking pictures of her with my I-phone. It was bright and she kept closing her eyes. Then she thought it would be cute to squint and laugh while I take her picture. I was laughing so hard. She was in such a silly mood this afternoon. She was wanting me to take her socks off of her, put her shoes back on, and then put her socks over the toe part of her shoes. It was too funny!!
Okay.......first of all.........excuse my Santa pajama pants in April. Too comfortable to only wear one month out of the year. :) She would eat one and then get one to give to Cali......the dog who never ate human food has suddenly eaten just about everything thanks to Emma. But Cali is not complaining!!!

Mexican Food & Cute Little Hat

I love cheese dip from Mexican restaurants!!! I can walk away completely happy and full just from eating the cheese dip. Thankfully........Emma knows what makes mommy happy and loves to eat at Mexican restaurants too!!
I had a class after work today and Scott had a softball game so I picked her up from daycare and went to grab dinner at a place my mom and I have eaten at several times on Monday nights when I have class. It is close to where my class is and my mom's work. On today, though, Emma and I went to eat by ourselves since my mom was working a little later. She loved eating the rice, chips, cheese dip, salsa, and refried beans (of course!!!).
She loved picking up the whole chip and biting little pieces off to eat. She now has four top and four bottom teeth plus at least two molars coming in so biting and chewing are becoming much easier. She got mad when it was time to go so she took a chip or two to much on out in the parking lot waiting on my mom to come get her. My mom met us in the parking lot after she got off work to take Emma to her house while I went to class. This was just Emma's snack as she ate again at my moms.
I picked sweet girl up from moms and went home to Scott. He got home around the same time we did from his softball game. They won!!! He has been wanting to get Emma a baseball cap for awhile and was able to find one at the game yesterday. She loves wearing it. And I must say........she is pretty cute in it.
Can't wait to take her to a Braves game while wearing this hat........and eating Mexican food there. :) Just kidding........but you never know.........it could happen. Although I don't think I could turn down nachos and popcorn and boiled peanuts and a hotdog. Now that I have that on my mind.......
I want to go to a Braves game NOW!!! :)

Guys Day/Girls Day

Scott went with two of his good friends to a Braves game yesterday. It was good for him to get away for the day with some guys. I am so glad they got to see the Braves win as well. They had great seats under the upper deck, so they were in the shade the whole time. We are wanting to take Emma this summer with my mom and her family, so we will have to get seats there again so Emma won't be too hot.

Emma and I went with mom, Brandon, and Krista to their church this morning. Then we all went out to eat at Zaxby's. Emma and I then came home and took a nice nap. After a meeting at church yesterday afternoon and picking up Emma from mom's, we ran by and got Taco Bell. Scott had me try their new Locos Taco one time and I loved it. I did not think I would like it that much, but it was very good. I just had to have one Sunday and so that is what I got. Emma loves refried beans so she ate the whole bowl full. She also had some yogurt that she loves!!
Here is sweet girl eating the refried beans. We originally took the picture to send to Scott so he could see sweet girl while on his guys outing.
The little bug loves to cuddle. She loves to lay her head on one of our shoulders and go to sleep. She didn't have an option last night :) as Scott was coming back from the game. She fell right to sleep and it was such an awesome feeling.
I really enjoyed our girls day. I know when she gets older (which I am NOT rushing at all) we will have so much fun shopping, going to movies, going to the beach, or other girly things. I am so blessed to be her mama!!

Dancing, Swimming, and Grilling

Today was such a busy but fun day for us! I am writing one blog about our great day so there are a lot of pictures.
Our day started out at Chehaw Park where we went to see the Indian Festival that comes there every year. Scott was asked to get video for a promo commercial to advertise for next year's festival, so Emma and I tagged along with him. It had been awhile since I went to the Indian Festival and was wanting to go this year, so it worked out nice.
The first stop was to see the dancers. The little girl dancer was so cute to watch. Here is Scott taking a break to watch the dancers with Emma.
Emma loves riding on his shoulders. This was after Scott was finished filming and we were going to see some of the animals inside the zoo.
Then we went and saw the alligators. It just happened to be feeding time. There were probably at least two dozen alligator's in this area. You could buy a cup of food to throw into the water for them to eat. They feed them every Saturday/Sunday at a certain time. The guy said this was the first time they have fed them since the Fall since they use their body fat in the winter.
The last stop before we left was to visit the petting zoo. We bought a bag a food to feed the llamas, the pig, donkeys, and ponies. Emma even fed them a piece or two of food. Then we immediately went and watched our hands like twice!!

She was keeping an eye on the tan/brown llama.
She had so much fun at the park/zoo that she fell asleep before we ever got out of the main entrance.
After we got home and ate lunch, Emma and I, went to a friends house so her sweet baby and Emma could have fun in her new pools. Her baby was born two days after Emma. Here is Emma getting ready to leave our house and go swimming.
Here is Emma playing in one of the pools.
Here are Emma and Kenley playing the the crab pool. It was so cute. It had a waterfall that the girls loved playing in.
After about two hours of playing in the water and being water logged, Emma and I went back home. Scott was grilling out salmon. It was delicious!! Emma ate everything we ate and loved it all. I am so glad to have a good eater!!
Today has been such a wonderful day!!! We are truly blessed.

Celebrating Easter in the Country

We woke up and went to no other better place than church. Today is one of the happiest days for a Christian. This sweet girl sure was happy this morning.
Then my dad came over and gave Emma a beach chair and some money to get her some summer sandals. OJan got her some soft blocks we picked out for her. Then my dad, Scott, Emma, and I went to Camilla to have Easter lunch with my aunt, uncle, cousin, and two of my great aunts. It was a smaller gathering than normal but still nice. We ate BBQ and Fried Chicken which were both yummy!! Then we had dessert. Emma loved the ice cream.
Then we did things country style. Scott rode Emma on my aunt's bicycle. We let her ride the pony. We fed the fish. Scott and I rode my aunt's new scooter. We let Emma do her fourth egg hunt for this Easter and then we headed home. We had a great time down there.
Then we went to my moms to visit some more with my Grandma Shelby and Uncle Philip. My mom just recently met her biological mom, four brothers, and two sisters this past January. It has been such a blessing!!
