Our Little Tree Guy

Landon loved watching the guys prepare our tree last night at the tree farm. He watched them cut off a few of the bottom branches to make it stand even. Tonight when we put the final touches on our tree, he went and got his chainsaw from his room to "help" us. He was so excited!

Georgia enjoyed watching us decorate the tree. I think she likes all of the lights on our tree. I love to have all of the lights off in the house except for the Christmas tree lights. It is such a peaceful sight!

Getting Our Christmas Tree

We went and got our Christmas tree tonight. We love going and selecting our tree every year. The kids always have fun taking a picture with the little red car. 

Emma Lost Another Tooth

Emma lost a tooth today! She always gets excited to leave it under her pillow for the tooth fairy.

Pajamas from Sparkle Dots

When we got home today, these pajamas were waiting for Emma and Landon. Their elf, Sparkle Dots, dropped them off while we were gone. 

Thanksgiving in North Carolina

Happy Thanksgiving from North Carolina! My mom, my brother's family, and the four of us all went up north this Thanksgiving. Here we are having fun and being silly with filters!

Then we took some non-silly pictures.

Landon went outside with Uncle Phillip after we finished our lunch. Pretty sure Landon has part of a roll coming out of his mouth.

Then we made our way to the house where my mom grew up. I have so many memories of this house where my Nina and Papa lived. It was good to go back and see it. My cousin lives here now with his family. We had to get a picture with their doggie in front of the house. 

We found a swing on their property and Emma and Landon had fun swinging. Heidi was asleep in the car. The big Thanksgiving lunch made her extra sleepy. 

We left there and stopped by Memaw's house. Emma always likes to get a picture of her standing in this same tree. 

On Friday, we went to their downtown celebration where they have carolers, hot chocolate, a parade,  candle lighting service, activities for the kiddos, and start off the Christmas season. 

We made a pit stop at South of the Border before coming home today. 

Fall Picnic with Emma

Today, Scott and I got to eat lunch with Emma at the school's Fall picnic. She loves getting to request her lunch. Today she requested Chick-fil-A. Our school always has the Fall picnic the Friday before our Thanksgiving break starts. 

Our Little Pilgrim

Emma was a pilgrim today for her Thanksgiving feast at school. Turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, oh my!!!!

Veteran's Day Nap

When it is Veteran's Day and there is no work or school, you get to sleep in late- like 10:00am late!

Visit to American Girl Store

We left Athens and went over to Atlanta to visit the American Girl store for Emma. She loves her Wellie Wishers!

Trip to Athens

Scott likes to visit Athens at least once a year. We will sometimes go in the Spring when they play their G-Day game and other times, we choose to go in the Fall. It is always nice to go in the Fall on a non game day weekend because it isn't crowded. 

Veteran's Day Program

The first grade at our school always puts on a Veteran's Day program. Emma's class did their program today. 

The music teacher always likes to get pictures of family members who have or are currently serving our country. The picture on the left is Emma's Uncle Chris who is currently serving and the picture on the right is her PawPaw who served in the Navy. 

My dad came and he really enjoyed it.
