Water Day Fun

Our church hosted water day this afternoon and Emma and Landon had so much fun! They had five big water slides and then two smaller ones for younger kids to enjoy. Emma and Landon ran around and enjoyed all of the slides for a couple of hours. We also enjoyed hamburgers and hotdogs while we were out at Legacy Park. Landon had just gone down a slide and hit his arm, but that didn't stop him for long before he was back at having fun going down the slides.

Baby Landon

We order this for the baby to use around the house as well as when we travel. It is like a pack and play, but much smaller and easier to transfer between places. Emma and Landon tested it out. Landon was being the baby here while Emma was taking care of him! I know they are going to be great big siblings and such a huge help to us with the baby.

Outdoor Fun

Landon found this baby cricket while playing outside today. Look at his water hands! :)
He enjoyed cooling off on such a hot day by playing on the water slide. He would slide down into the water and then use his muscles to climb up the slide part just to do it all over again!

Reunited Love

Landon missed Georgia while we were gone on our trip. He did not waste anytime before showing her just how much he missed and loves her!

Our Best Girl

I have to brag big time on Emma. She is such a great big sister and has the biggest heart. I snapped this picture on our last night in New York City. She walked all over Boston and NYC this past week. One day while in Boston, she walked in the rain most of the day. Once we got to NYC, she walked about nine miles each day. She went right along with the flow and never complained about having to do all of the walking. Meanwhile, Landon rode of Scott's shoulders majority of our trip. :) I told Emma she needed a reward for doing so much walking and doing it with a smile on her face. She fell in love with "off the hook" dolls that she found at the FAO toy store in NYC, so we surprised her with several more dolls once we arrived home.

Goodbye NYC

We woke up this morning and walked to a nearby gift shop to buy some t-shirts to take back home. Emma and Landon wanted to put theirs on as soon as we got back to the hotel. It has been such a fun trip. Until next time New York City!

Last Full Day in NYC

We started our day by visiting the 9/11 museum and memorial. They did a great job on the museum. We were able to see the memorial the last time we were in New York, but they were not done with the museum. We were in the museum for about two hours and the kids did great. It was a lot to see and all of the details from the day of the attack were a lot to take in.
They had a place where you could leave messages that would show on this big display screen.
Here we are outside at the memorial.
Here is the new One World Trade Center.
Then we went to catch our boat to ride over to see the Statue of Liberty. We rode on a boat the last time we visited, but could not get off on the island to see the Statue of Liberty up close.
We visited the museum where Emma and Landon enjoyed sticking their fingers up the huge nose of the model statue.
After getting off the boat, we walked over to the Brooklyn Bridge.
We finished our day in Little Italy where we had an awesome dinner.
It was such a busy day. Our feet are beyond tired, but we have so many memories to take home with us from this trip!

Busy & Fun Day in NYC

We started our day by going to top of the rock. We grabbed Starbuck's for breakfast before going to the very top.

We then made our way to the FAO toy store. I wold love to be at one shopping for Christmas gifts! Landon loved playing on the giant piano.
After leaving the toy store, we made our way over to Central Park. We first ate hot dogs and fries! Emma and Landon loved playing on the big rocks and playground.
Emma took a break and rested with me on the grass at the playground. She loved playing with her new toys there beside me in the playground area.
We then went over to the Natural History Museum where we saw all kinds of neat animals.
We ended our very busy day by eating at the Apple Bee's that was right beside our hotel. Emma requested it. Scott and I shared the sampler. It was good food but way more expensive than our Apple Bee's back home.

Traveling to NYC

I woke up today and had the feeling that I needed to double check our boarding time for our train out of Boston to NYC. We were thinking we were to leave at 1:00pm, but it was to leave at 11:00am. So we felt a little like Home Alone as we threw stuff in our suitcases to rush out the door to catch a subway to the train station. We made it and had a few minutes before we boarded our train. We got the kiddos some doughnuts from Dunkin' for the train ride.
We were able to sit facing each other since we had more than three people in our travel party.
After we got going, we got lunch on the train and sat back to enjoy the scenery for the three hour ride.
We made it to NYC and survived the subway in such a huge city with our luggage. Landon had the best seat in the subway station! There is Emma up ahead following me through the subway station.
We made it to our hotel where we took in the scenery out of our window. We stayed at this exact Hilton about six years ago and it was such a great hotel central to everything in NYC.
Then it was off to see the big city with the kiddos. We went to grab pizza at John's of Times Square. It is some of the best pizza we have ever eaten!
Then we walked around Times Square. We visited the M&M store where Emma and Landon got a fix a small bag of their own personal favorite m&m colors.
We went back to the hotel to rest after a busy day of traveling.
