Sophia & Honey Crescent Rolls

We went out to eat tonight and Emma wanted to go as Sophia. We went to eat at Cheddar's and it was good as always! Emma loved their honey crescent rolls. I can't blame her- they are amazing!!

Recovering From Eye Surgery

Emma is recovering very well from her eye surgery. It has been 3 days since her surgery. We took today off of school just to let her eyes heal a little more before returning to school tomorrow. The itching of the eyes stopped the day after surgery. The eye drops are helping it heal and prevent infection. Her eyes will be red from the blood vessels for a week or so. She can't play any sport or do anything extensive for two weeks. We have a follow up appointment this Friday. 

Emma's Eye Surgery

The glasses and patching were not correcting Emma's eye from turning in, so her doctor felt it was best to surgically fix the problem. Today was her surgery day. We drove to Dothan early this morning and it took him about an hour to complete the surgery. She did not come out of anesthesia well for her MRI back in May and today was no different. It was actually a little worse because she was hungry and her eyes were itching from the stitches. We had to wait a bit for the anesthesia to wear off and for them to release her and she was more than ready to escape the surgery center. The first bit of the car ride back was rough because she was wanting to be held and had to ride in her carseat and she was overly exhausted. Here are Scott and one of our ministers from church excited about grabbing breakfast from Bojangles'. 

 Here is the happy Emma we know! The anesthesia was out of her system and she was starting to feel more like herself!!!

 Her sweet class left her a goody bag of her favorite things and a get well balloon. She was so excited to get home and see this surprise waiting on the front porch for her!!

Singing in the Rain

Tired Buddy

It is bedtime and my man bun little boy is super tired. Still cute & sweet as ever!!!

Birthday Date & Cancer Ties

Today is my birthday and it just so happens to fall on a major event that Scott's job was working. They made a couple videos to show at Cancer Ties tonight. So we got a little birthday date tonight! They had a taco bar there and it was amazing!! Love the organization that always puts this on as it raises a lot of money for the recipient. 

All About Emma

Emma turned in her "all about me" project today. She was to complete a doll to look like herself. She enjoyed completing the project. Then she drew a portrait of herself!! Love my artistic glasses wearing little girl!!!

Baptism for Scott & I

Scott & I were both saved during our teen years, but we never got our baptism on the right side of our salvation. It was something God had been working in both of our hearts for awhile now. We decided to make our salvation public and get baptized. It was a wonderful feeling and having our kids there to watch us was such a great thing!!

It is Labor Day and I am off of work and kiddos are out of school for the day. Emma just hanging out on my mom's screened-in porch.

Horse Themed Birthday Party

Today we went to a horse themed birthday party. Emma enjoyed riding the hose around at the party. 

Boat Ride with Friends

We went on a boat ride with our good friends and our kiddos. The kids had a blast!! So thankful these four get along so well together!!

Doughnut Date

I took the kiddos for a doughnut date. We got a pink one and then a fall one and the kids shared them with each other. The pictures confirm that they were a huge hit and well liked!!
