Summer Fun!

I have not done the best job at blogging frequently this summer. Emma and I have been busy doing different things during the day while Scott is working. These next few pictures were taken one afternoon at my mom's. Emma was helping her pick some vegetables from her garden.

This particular night, Emma insisted on wearing her daddy's Braves hat while watching Toy Story. He was trying to film her saying, "Go Braves" which she says often, but she kept saying, "Go Toy Story!!" :)
These next few pictures were taken on a day we went downtown to see the flowing water, turtles, and to get ice cream.
Then once Scott got home he mowed the grass and Emma watched from the window.
She took a break from watching her daddy mow the grass and I just had to get a picture of all of her arm candy!!
These were taken on a Saturday morning at Cracker Barrel. Scott & Amy(below) came to our church to be the youth pastor the summer after my senior year in high school. We became good friends and they have since moved away, but came to stay a night with us to see everyone and hang out. Amy has lost a lot of weight within the year and we recently found out they are expecting their first baby. She was pregnant in this picture, but she had no idea at the time.
Emma was being silly, silly,
silly!!!
We left Cracker Barrel and went to get a birthday present. Then we went to a first birthday party. It was Minnie Mouse themed so Emma had to dress the part too since she in love with Mickey characters! The birthday girl's momma did not want to keep this big Minnie balloon so it ended up in my car. That thing lasted for weeks!!
Emma loves to draw and as a teacher and her momma I must brag on the way she holds her pencils, pens, crayons, and markers. :)
Josh (Scott's best guy friend & college roommate) came over and Emma actually wanted to play with him.
I just can't help but add these cute pictures of Emma's pigtails.

Here is our first baby, Cali on the way to my dad's before we left for a week at the beach.
Hope your summer is going great!!

Weekend Fun!!

Our fun weekend started early with a play date on Friday. We went to our local splash park to let the girls play in the water. Emma does not seem to like the splash park very much.
Here is Emma's friend, Avery who would not look at the camera for me!! Little stinker. :)
This is Hadley, Avery's sister.
Last, but not least, this is Kenley. Kenley and Emma had the same due date, but Emma came two days early which was really six days past her due date!!
Emma did have fun playing with this toy duck....
and some more...
and then she moved on to an empty water bottle. Ha!!
Saturday, we went to the pool to swim.
She loves to get into the water, but she also loves to eat-
 -eat eat at the pool.
She loved playing in the pool with Lillie!!
Today, we went to our local park/zoo for Father's Day. We took a picnic from Publix and met up with my dad, Brandon & Krista, and Scott's dad & Susan. After we ate, we went and let Emma play at the playground.
It was a very fun weekend!!!

Fun in the Sun!!!

Scott and I went to the beach for a couple nights for our Anniversary. Emma stayed with my mom. She went to the pool one day to play and had a blast. It was her first time in the pool wearing a puddle jumper which she borrowed from someone at the pool. We quickly bought her one of her own after this pool trip.
I LOVE Mexican food and I know Emma loves the cheese dip. We had a mommy-daughter lunch date and it was awesome!

We just had a Smallcakes open up in town and have taken advantage of it!!
The cookies-n-cream and chocolate were amazing! We will be going back soon and often!!
Emma and I went over to my friend, Kalynn's house for a swim date. Emma and Kalynn's dog were sad we would not let them in the house. HAHA!! I told Kalynn it looked like they were making the same serious face.
I am so thankful Emma loves dogs! She wanted Susie on the float with her. Poor Kalynn had a float full!!

Emma loves water! She likes these floaties as well, but the puddle jumper keeps her face higher out of the water.

Sweet sweet girls!!
Lastly, a quick picture of Emma at the country club pool in her new puddle jumper vest. She is seriously like a fish in the water.

"Putt-Putt"

We went my childhood church to All American Fun Park today. They took the kids that had perfect attendance during VBS for a day of fun. I use to go to this place all the time as a kid, but it was called "Putt-Putt" then. She enjoyed riding the train! The first thing she did there was to ride the Carousel (of course!!!!).
Then we rode the Bumper Boats, but she was ready to get off before it was over. I was ready to get out early too. We ended up with some wild boys who wanted to squirt everyone! Then we went and had nachos for a snack. Then we finished our day of playing mini golf. She was so cute doing it! I will let the pictures speak for themselves, but I told Scott is looked like she was chopping wood while golfing. ;)

She had to sit on the big turtle before leaving.
We had so much fun!! Then we came home and took a nice nap!!! :)

Emma's First Big Screen Movie

I went with our SS playgroup to the movies last Thursday. Our theater shows older kid movies on Thursdays in the summer for a very discounted price. We saw Despicable Me. It was Emma's first time in the big movies!! She has watched Nemo and Toy Story multiple times at home, but had never been to see a movie on the Big Screen! This picture isn't great, but she wanted to see herself while I took her picture. :)
She was so into the movie. For $4.00 each, we got into the movie, a small popcorn, small drink, and gummy snacks. That is an awesome price just on all of the food/drinks! She did so great during the movie. She was ready to get up about five minutes before it was over, so we just stood off to the side to finish watching it.
Then we ran some errands before coming home to crash! She had to have this big puppy that moves and makes noises with her at nap time. There is an OFF button for a reason.
