Mermaid Lover

So I really slacked on the number of pictures I took this Christmas. I am sure my mom has a ton though. :) Here is her Santa gifts. She is all into Little Mermaid and other Disney characters these days!!
Here she is cuddled with some of her new toys she got for Christmas.
Again with the Mermaid stuff. My dad got her a necklace that sings and some Mermaid dress up shoes.
It will be neat to look back years later and see what other 'favorites' she had during different stages of her childhood.

Visiting Kalynn

We have a sweet long time friend in the hospital. She is 26 weeks pregnant and has been there for a week or so and not sure when she will be released to go home. Scott and I went to visit with her after Christmas with my dad. They would not allow Emma up to visit since she was not their child and they are on high alert with cold and flu season. Emma fell asleep before we ever got to the hospital because she had not napped today. So Scott stayed down in the lobby with her while I went to visit. Then I took over and he went to visit with Kalynn while I held sleeping Emma. She woke up while I was holding her and this was taken very shortly after she woke up. She still loves to suck on her two middle fingers! Cuteness!! Then we visited the Starbucks in the lobby before leaving to go home! :)

Christmas Cookies/Reindeer Food

My mom, brother, and Krista came over Christmas Eve to help make Christmas cookies.  They were fun to make. Then we iced and decorated them. I guess I got busy helping make them that I quit taking pictures.
Then we made reindeer food and went outside to throw it in the yard so Santa's reindeer could spot our yard! :)

For Gran Gran

Emma's Gran Gran has been wanting a piece with Emma's footprint or handprint on it for awhile. So I decided to have Emma make something at the local pottery place to give to her for Christmas. She LOVED it!! I think it turned out super cute too!

Christmas Picture

I was given this picture up today when I picked Emma up from school. I LOVE it. She looks so pretty and actually looked & smiled for it. She brings so much joy to our family!!!

Making Gingerbread Man Cookies

Emma made gingerbread cookies for the first time and loved it!!!
She was very much into making these cookies! She was so attentive to what she was doing and was taking the process of decorating seriously! :)

Back to the 80's!!!

We had our Sunday School Christmas Party tonight! It consisted of two themes: Tacky Christmas or 80's. Scott and I chose to go with the decade when we were both born. I went to a local consignment sale and loaded up. I was shocked at everything I found so quickly. The skirt came from a co-worker.
Scott had his clothes already at the house. He wanted some old school jeans, but did not have any luck.
We also volunteered to decorate one of the tables. We recently got a Party City in town and they had a whole 80's section. The sunglasses I am wearing were part of my attire and the rest of the pack went to decorate the table.
 We had such a blast!!!

Food & PJ's

Emma was helping me get eggs ready to give to Scott so he could scramble them for us.
We started a tradition where we give her new Christmas pajamas at the beginning of December. That way she can wear them the whole month of December (and the rest of the year at our house :)).
This girl right here LOVES Moe's. This particular night I got nachos to share with her. She ate probably more of them than I did! She is not a picky eater which I am very thankful!!

We're Expecting!!! :)

We are excited to share that we are expecting a sweet baby in July of 2014!!! We could not be more excited. Emma is going to be a great Big Sister. She will have just turned 3 1/2.
Despite this picture, she says she wants a baby sister!!! :) She was not feeling our family pictures this day and as soon as she took the sign, she started crying. I told the photographer to just go with it because I knew it would turn our perfect!!

Past Couple of Days

Here is Emma on her first train ride of the season. I am sure there will be several more trips to the mall just to ride the train. She was so excited!!
Scott and I braved ourselves to rearrange and reorganize her room and all of her toy bins. She has several toy bins and they had gotten all mixed up. Now we have them separated with stuffed animals, books, dolls, and balls and such.
This picture makes this OCD mama very happy!! :)
We met Scott's family in Valdosta for Thanksgiving dinner. Then we went to Toys R Us to get toys for their church's toy drive. Emma had fun picking out toys that she knew were not for her! It is never too early to teach that giving is much better than receiving.

Thanksgiving Feast

Emma had a Thanksgiving Feast at her school today. I took off work so I could be there with her. She loved having me there! They had turkey, green beans, macaroni and cheese, bread, and cupcakes. She enjoyed the cupcakes the most! :)
Here is Karoline, one of her sweet classmates.
Here is another one of her classmates, Brooks.
This is Emma and Abby. They were in the same class for awhile until they moved Emma up due to her birthday. Abby's mom and I teach right across the hall from each other. Emma was in a silly mood after her cupcake. :) We left the feast and went home to nap!!

Emma's Weekend

Friday night she stayed with my mom, NaeNae. She wanted to be dressed just like my mom, but the clothes we packed for her to sleep in did not look like NaeNae's clothes. So my mom gave her one of her shirts to wear. :)
Then Saturday, we had a Fall social with our Sunday School class. They had bouncy houses, hayrides, lots of food, and fun fellowship. This is Emma and her sweet friend Jaxon. They love each other. They had their arms around each other. We need to keep an eye on these two! :)

Magic Kingdom

We decided to take Emma to Disney World this past weekend because 1. She loves all things Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! 2. She was free! 3. What adult needs a true reason to be a kid again??!? :) We were in Orlando for 3 nights and did other things around Orlando, but did spend one whole day (opening-closing) at Magic Kingdom! We all had a blast!! This was Emma's third trip to Magic Kingdom. She went at 5 months, 18 months, and now at almost 3.
She rode every single ride she could based on height requirements. I think there were only four rides she could ride due to not being tall enough. She even rode Haunted Mansion! She rode Goofy's Rollercoaster like four times. She loves riding a carousel anytime she can, so riding it at the most magical place on Earth was no different!
We loved Dumbo!!! We loved waiting in this line because half way through they have a playground the kids get to play on until it is time for your family to get back in line to get on the ride. Smart thinking Magic Kingdom!
She was SO excited about riding the Little Mermaid ride and meeting Ariel. She did both of those at least twice!!
Then it was time to meet some of her most favorite characters. Goofy scared her but I think it was because he was standing up when we approached him and he was super tall!!
She was still a little afraid when we got to Donald Duck!
But got more comfortable by the time we reached Daisy Duck and was good to go with Minnie & Mickey Mouse.
Then we were off to ride more rides.
I'm pretty sure Emma crashed for a nap in her stroller shortly after this ride!!!
After we had ridden all of the rides and some more than once, we made our way to get settled for the parade, light show, and fireworks.
She was on Scott's shoulders watching the night parade.
I love what they do to the castle at night!! They were all so pretty.
We had a blast!!! I'm sure we will be back before too long!
