A Bunch of Cry Babies

So this afternoon we laughed until we cried in the hallway after school. One of our teachers had these crying faces in her classroom and several of us plus Emma and Landon had so much fun taking pictures with them.

Halloween 2018

Introducing Dash and Addison! I am loving their outfits this year because they are so cute and they describe their personalities so well!
We went to a trunk or treat at a local church and met up with Heidi. They had the best time together!

Our Sweet Georgia Girl

She is wild and full of energy but she is oh so sweet! She loves us so much and is such a loyal dog! She loves her new raised dog bed we bought her and she will never turn down a bone!

Day Out With Thomas & Landon

Landon and I enjoyed a mama/son date with a day out with Thomas. He was so excited when he realized where we were going.

It was then our turn to get on the big train!
After getting our picture taken here in the big seats, we moved to the car that had the tables. He was able to see out the big windows better.
We finished our day with some french fries and a coke before making our way back to our car and then on to home. It was a fun outing with Landon.

PE Fall Fun Day

Our PE coaches host a PE Fall Fun Day every year in October. Today was that day and the kiddos always have so much fun with it. They decorate the gym with all kinds of fall/Halloween decorations and they have different centers the kiddos rotate through. Here is Emma after coming out of the spider tunnel!

Books A Million Visit

To get into our mall, we will sometimes park at Books a Million and walk through to get inside the main part of the mall. But we can never just walk through when the kiddos are with us. We always end up stopping in the toy section. Today was no different. Landon spotted this toy and has requested it for Christmas. He doesn't know it yet, but my dad is getting it for him for Christmas.
Emma wanted her picture taken with these animals. She always seems to flock towards the stuffed animals even though she has a million at home. :)

Super Hero Day

Today was Super Hero Day for our Red Ribbon Week. Emma doesn't really have any super hero shirts and she got so excited when I suggested she wear this shirt to tell about her true super hero. I am so proud of her and pray she is always bold in her talk of Jesus Christ, her super hero.

Fun Things for School

Emma and I at school on Friday showing off our new PBIS shirts! Love the saying and the design!
Emma, Landon, and Scott were brave and did the jelly bean game. I was only brave enough to try the blue ones- either mint toothpaste or blue raspberry!
Emma has her book project using a pumpkin due tomorrow. Here is the finished product. She was determined to do this book and I wasn't sure how we were going to pull it off at first, but with Scott's help, it turned out really cute. It looks just like the book character.
Emma needed a picture of her and her doggie for school this week. She wanted a picture of her and Georgia and it took entirely too long to get the perfect picture. :) But the end result did turn out pretty cute!

My Big Helper

Landon came into my classroom after getting off the bus and spotted these apples. He asked if he could cut them out and he surprised me with how well he cut them out considering their small size and all the curves.

Quick Trip to Athens

We made it to Athens and hung out in the downtown/college area for awhile before heading into town. We try to go at least once a year with the kiddos. We stopped at an Academy where they wanted to try out all of the exercise equipment. We ate at a pizza place in downtown for lunch and then at Texas Roadhouse for dinner.
We got up Sunday morning and went to a park we like going to on every trip. Emma was recreating a picture of her on this same slide when she was about 18 months old. She sure has grown up since that time.
We left the park and went to a small zoo and then visited the botanical gardens before heading the the local pumpkin patch. We grabbed several pumpkins and gourds before heading back home.
When we left for Athens yesterday, our power was still off but it had gotten restored by the time we got to Athens! We stopped in Macon and grabbed some groceries to get us through the week and to start over filling up our refrigerator and freezer.

Landon Turns Green

We went to a friend's house this afternoon. Landon and Emma enjoyed playing with the new puppies and their friends. Landon also enjoyed painting his body green when he was suppose to be painting a picture on paper. Thankfully it was washable and came right off.

Hurricane Michael

So a few nights ago we were expecting to get bad weather from hurricane Michael as it was making its way to hit landfall around Panama City Beach and Mexico Beach. We lost power on Wednesday night. Here we are with our set up so we could see some throughout the house.
We woke up Thursday morning thankful we did not have trees down in our yard. We did have lots of limbs and debri so we started working in the yard some to get it cleaned up. We got up Friday morning to finish the clean up. The kiddos helped us for awhile.
Our neighborhood had a lot of trees down in yards and we were all without power for several days. We lost everything in our refrigerator and freezer, but were counting our blessings that our hot water heater runs off of gas and so we could take hot showers and baths!!!
