We Are Back

We got back from our 8 day vacation to Orlando today. I wanted to post a few pictures, but I plan on doing a BIG post from our trip tomorrow. Here is a picture I took of Emma on Friday at the Splash Park. We met up with two of my friends and their girls to play. Emma kept herself entertained with this cup.
This is the first picture of our trip. I took it last Saturday as we were leaving town. My brother and his wife were in a car following us.
This is a picture of Emma tonight asleep at 7:30.
We had so much fun on this trip. I can't wait to share more pictures later!!

Peanut Butter & Ball Lover

My sweet girl has been recently introduced to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I made her a half of one today for lunch and when I looked, she had eaten the peanut butter side first. Then she nibbled on the jelly side. She also loves Reese's cups (when we let her have a small bite).
She has been saying "ball" lately. Anytime she sees one, she says "ball." Today we played ball together.
She has also been on a "dog" kick lately. Anytime she sees Cali, she will instantly say "dog." We are heading to Sea World very soon, so I am sure the whales and dolphins will be called "dog" while we are there. :)

Happy Father's Day

Emma and I are so lucky to have Scott in our life. He is a great daddy to Emma and an awesome husband to me. We went to church this morning which was an awesome way to start our day. Then we went to pick up chicken/vegetables/sides from Publix and met my dad at Cheehaw after we picked up my mom's bike for me to ride.
The girl was READY to eat!!!
We got our two dads a copy of Courageous (which was filmed by our church) for Father's Day. I have been wanting to get this for them on this special day for awhile. It fits right in with Father's Day since it is all about being a Godly father.
We recently bought Emma this bike trailer so her and Scott could ride bikes around the neighborhood. I hope to get a bike soon to join them. The sun was right in her face. :(
This is my dad. We were so glad he was there. We were missing Scott's dad and family. He was visiting his sister who is pretty sick.
The night Scott put the trailer together for the first time, Emma would climb in it and sit for awhile. She would get upset if we took her out. She was getting antsy to start riding, so I rode her some while Scott and my dad were getting the other two bikes ready.
And we were off!!
You can see her in the trailer. She loves to just look around at the surroundings.
Then we took a break at the playground.
She loved sliding with Scott.
Then her and I rode on the tire swing.
Once last slide ride before we rode back to our spot to head home. We really enjoyed our day together!!

Birthday/Father's Day Get-Together

Scott's dad and his family were going to come to spend Father's Day with us and my dad today, but Mr. Joe's sister is sick so they went to visit her today. We went to Moultrie last night to see everyone for Ashleigh's (Scott's sister) birthday and to give Mr. Joe his Father's Day gift. We hung out at their house for awhile before going to eat Mexican. Emma and I met a friend for lunch yesterday at a Mexican restaurant, so we had it twice in one day, which is totally fine because we LOVE it!! Ashleigh had a few friends join us for dinner as well as Peyton (their brother) and his girlfriend, Makayli.
Peyton and Emma fist pumping!!
Emma had such a fun night. She let everyone hold her. I forgot to take pictures until the very end. I will have to get them from Susan (Emma's grandmom). Emma pretty much took a bath in cheese dip and the food. It was all over her. We had a blast, but as always, it flies by too fast and we had to come back home.

Wild Girl

Our house is currently on the market to sell. We had someone wanting to come look at our house today, so Emma and I went to Wilder's World to play for a little while. We had never been and I was wanting to check it out, so this was the perfect time to go. She enjoyed playing in the toddler section for awhile and then went to play on the one toddler bouncy house, but really didn't get it yet.
She was really into checking out the big ones that she could not get on yet. We will have to go back with Scott, so they can go on the big ones together. She did enjoy riding the horsy some.

Right before we left, she went to sit in the Princess chair. She must know we are taking her to Disney in less than a week. Scott and I are like kids on Christmas Eve. We love going to vacation and Orlando is special to us because we spent our honeymoon there.

Emma's Weekend

Emma spent the weekend with my mom while we went to Savannah. She got to experience several of her favorites (Mexican food, Target, staying up late, powder doughnuts, etc) while she was with my mom. This is going to be a picture dump so I can look back and show Emma one day what all she did with her OJan.

This one was actually taken Thursday night while mom, Emma, and I went to Wal-Mart to get a few things she would need this weekend. Yes, you do what you have to do to keep a 17 month old happy while grocery shopping. She only had one!! :)
Emma and I met my brother for breakfast at Burger King on Friday before heading out of town. She loves anything dipped in Ketchup.
This was the first picture my mom sent me to let me know what they were doing. She loves this pink car that Scott's dad and Susan gave her for Christmas.
She was playing with Easter eggs.
Then they went to eat at a Mexican restaurant. We all LOVE
Mexican food and the cheese dip there.
My mom always fixes her big breakfasts when she stays with her. We are all going on vacation in about two weeks and I am looking forward to my mom fixing us big breakfasts!! :)
She loves playing with tupperware containers.
She was helping mom wash dishes and probably begging to wash her hands. She loves to wash her hands anytime she sees someone else washing their hands.
Then she found her way into the bathroom to play with Band-Aids.
We went to Toys R Us on Thursday and mom got Emma a big drawing pad and fat crayons.
We will have to keep/frame some of her first "drawings."
This was sweet girl sleeping the first night she was with my mom.
Yes, they went back for more cheese dip, rice, and refried beans on Saturday too.
Then went to Target. She was showing my mom her belly button. She can point to her ears, head, nose, mouth, belly button, and show us her tongue.
These last two were today. She was playing with my old cabbage patch dolls.
I wish I knew what she was thinking while she was holding it in her lap and looking at it.
Thank you mom for watching Emma while we got to go on a mini vacation!! We LOVE you very much!!!

Savannah- Back To Where He Proposed

Scott and I went back to Savannah this past weekend for our anniversary. Savannah is where he proposed five years ago. We were only there for the day when he proposed, so it was nice to spend a whole weekend there relaxing and seeing all of the great things Savannah has to offer. We missed Emma greatly, but it was nice to spend all that time together with just us. I will do another post on what Emma did this past weekend with my mom. I do not think she missed us at all!! :)

We started our weekend in Savannah with a trip to Uncle Bubba's to eat dinner on Friday night. Uncle Bubba's restaurant is co-owned by Paula Deen and her brother. It was amazing!! Thankfully, we shared dinner and we still walked away stuffed.
I got a small salad and then this was our shared meal. When they first brought it out, I just knew we would still be hungry, but we did not even finish all of this. We had fish, shrimp, awesome little muffins, black eye peas, and the BEST cheese grits I have ever eaten!!
Then we went on to Tybee Island to see the sunset on the beach.
We went back to Tybee Island on Saturday morning. On the way, we got Bojangle's. Their biscuits are some of the best I have ever had.
Once we got to Tybee, we went to this fort. We were able to see a demonstration of the firing of canons while we were there. Then we walked around the outside of the fort wall.
After we left the fort, Scott kept mentioning kayaking, but we just knew it would be more than what we would want to pay. We were surprised at how inexpensive it was to kayak. We decided to get the double kayak because I did not want to get in one by myself. :)
It was so peaceful and relaxing on the water. We would paddle some and then just move with the current of the water.
This was our view for most of the time. We would see the occasional boat go by us.
We left the kayak place and were hungry. We decided to go back to the place we ate lunch on the day he proposed. I got a salad and crab/seafood dip and Scott got a fish sandwich.
Then we went back to the hotel to change/freshen up before heading to Hilton Head to do a little shopping. We went back to Savannah to eat seafood on River Street. I kept seeing this ice cream place while we would drive downtown and decided I wanted to try it after dinner on Saturday. It is known as the best ice cream in Georgia and they are so right!! It was amazing. I got Caramel Swirl(I LOVE everything caramel!!) and Scott got...............Vanilla. Crazy boy!! He did say he should have gotten what I got but he did like the Vanilla.
We took this picture and sent it my mom this morning to show Emma. :)
We ate lunch at Five Guys for lunch today before heading home. This is Scott's!!
Then one of the last stops we made was to the place where he proposed. We were sad to find out Friday night that they chopped down all of the trees and replaced the benches from the park where he proposed. But, this is where the bench was where he proposed to me.
We had such a fun weekend!! Savannah is such a fun/neat town to visit.
