We were at my aunt's house today and my cousin showed me how to french braid Emma's hair. Emma definitely has the length of hair for it!!! It turned out so pretty. I am going to try to practice with it myself so maybe I can braid her hair like this one day. :) I can currently only do a three strand simple braid.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11- We don't know the plans God has for Emma & Landon's life, but we are excited to be on the journey with them!!

Today, Emma celebrated the 100th day of school by dressing up as a 100 year old lady. She was the old lady who LOVES cats!! Everyone thought she was too cute! I could not agree more!

Emma & Iris (and Landon)
Today, Emma and Iris had a play day together since they were out of school for MLK day. They started the day as princesses!!! Landon was standing right behind Emma in this picture.
Then later today, they decided they were ready to "nap" on the play set hammock. Landon joined them on the fun here too.

Doggy Fostering
We recently had a tornado come through our town and a lot of homes and businesses are without power. They are thinking power will be out for some for several days if not a week or two. There is a local pet adoption site that is without power, and we decided to foster one of their dogs until they can get power restored. This is Chapo and he was a very sweet but big dog! The kids loved having him with us for the week that we kept him. Cali tolerated him the best she could. :)
Update- The kids were super sad when we dropped Chapo back off at the adoption site. Emma cried big crocodile tears and Landon asked about him for months every time we would pass the adoption site. We did find out that he was adopted out into a loving and hopefully FURever home!!!Saturday, January 7, 2017

Emma's Birthday Dinner
We went to eat at Burger King with all of the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousin tonight. We also had some close friends join in on the fun. The kids ate and played and then enjoyed a delicious cake! Emma wanted a Troll themed dinner and it was not complete without the matching themed cake.
Here is our sweet birthday girl with her awesome cake!
The inside of the cake did not disappoint either!!!
Emma Turns SIX
Today is Emma's SIXTH birthday. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital. She wanted to wear her long sparkly pink shirt to school today! It would not be a completed birthday outfit without some cupcake socks!!! We love our sweet, smart, and sassy little girl so much!!!

Christmas Crafting
Christmas may be over, but our craft making days are not over yet! We made a handprint tree with Emma around Landon's age and we meant to make one for him before Christmas this year and just kept forgetting. Instead of putting it off another year, we decided to make his handprint Christmas tree tonight! We will be sure to enjoy it this next Christmas season. :)
