Summer Time Fun

Landon got a snack before spending some time in the pool today. He loves Cheetos!

Here is the little pool we bought for the summer. 

A fun summer morning means a good summer nap after lunch. He loves to be covered up and cuddled during his naps. 

Volunteering at Pet Shelter

We spent some time this morning volunteering at our local pet shelter. We first went to feed the kitty cats some treats. They loved the treats!

I love how Emma and this cat are looking at each other.

Then we went outside to play with the doggies. Belly scratches and back rubs are the best!

Happy Father's Day

We surprised Scott with hand painted plate from our local pottery place. The plate says, "Some Super Heroes don't have capes...They're called Daddy!" Emma and Landon loved making their handprints into a superhero. They got to pick which superhero they wanted for their daddy. Emma chose the Orange Ninja Turtle(Michaelangelo) and Landon chose Captain America. 

Sleeping Babies

This picture was taken this morning when they were still asleep in our bed. So thankful that we have kiddos that love their sleep. 

Here is Landon taking his daily nap! We love summer naps because they take place in mommy and daddy's bed and mommy joins in on those midday naps!

Making Slime

We went back to our local toy store to make slime. Emma and Landon both left with a couple little containers of their own slime to play with at home. They enjoyed mixing and making their own. Emma was there but somehow missed getting her picture. 

Then Landon had fun playing with the toys in the store. He brought me some lunch. 

Bed Time Faces

The kids and Scott had some fun making silly faces and taking pictures before bed tonight.

Kitty Hugs

We went to our local toy store for some crafts and while we were there, the local shelter brought some pets by for the kids to see and pet. Landon fell in love with this kitty and loved giving it tight hugs.

Riding Horses & Country Living

Today, we visited some friends of ours so the kids could ride horses. 

Then we rode on their four-wheeler through the woods before heading home. It was a fun day with friends!

Entertaining HImself

We came home from our trip today and Landon was entertaining himself with his pacis. He had one in his mouth and then one on each foot. :)

Up Up Up

Emma wanted to ride the chairlift in downtown Gatlinburg so we knew her and Scott would ride it while we were there. Landon wasn't sure about riding it, but we put him on it and he loved it! There was a big fire in the area recently and so we could not get off at the top because it had been damaged in the fire. 

We were so proud of Landon for riding it like a big boy. I will be honest that chair lifts aren't my favorite because of how high they go and the fact that one little bar that you can raise on your own is keeping you safe. But I overcame my fear and rode it and it wasn't too bad. 

Dolly Wood

We went to Dolly Wood today and had so much fun! Emma and Landon loved riding all of the rides. 

Hands up because it is more fun!

Emma was so excited to ride this big rollercoaster!

She was so excited after she got off that we just had to get a picture of her in front of such a big ride!

Trip to the Mountains

We arrived at the mountains today. We have been wanting to bring Emma and Landon to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge for awhile now. Our first stop was this really cold river in Cherokee, North Carolina that had a lot of rocks. The kiddos loved gathering and throwing the rocks. They even convinced us to bring a few home. We packed their rain boots because we knew we would be stopping here and they worked great. Emma and Landon got to play in the cold water without having cold, wet feet!
