Emma got her haircut yesterday and it was the biggest haircut she has ever gotten. Her hair was almost down to her waist and she wanted to cut it about to her shoulders and that is just what we did. She looks so cute with her new haircut! It definitely has to be cooler in these hot summer months. Here she is in our garage right after getting home from getting it cut.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11- We don't know the plans God has for Emma & Landon's life, but we are excited to be on the journey with them!!

Making Lowe's Fun
When you're a girly girl and having to make the dreaded Lowe's trip, you do all you can to make it fun! I love her in this pineapple shirt and she is sporting a purse my mom brought back from Mexico I believe. She was in a silly mood today at Lowe's and it helped pass the time until we could escape. :)

Landon's Last Day of Darcare
Today was Landon's last day of daycare. He has been going to Best Buddies since he was 8 weeks old or so. He has loved it! He has had amazing and loving teachers that he will miss so much! We started the morning off with a trip to McDonald's to celebrate his last day!
Then we had to get some last day pictures in front of his daycare sign.
He was showing off his school bag.
He will enjoy the summer at home with Emma & I before starting "big boy" school (pre-k) in August.

Wrapping up FIRST Grade
A couple weeks ago Emma participated in our school's PE Extravaganza. It is similar to field day but more fun than competitive. I love the way our school does it because all of the kids have a blast. Here she is with Madison.
Today she got her certificate for completing first grade. She has had so much fun and has loved her teacher, Mrs. Moon. Next year she will have Mrs. Moon's sister, Mrs. Paul. She is so excited about having her sister for second grade.
A sweet family gave me a gift certificate to Newk's for the end of the year. We didn't waste anytime using it and used it tonight to celebrate Emma and the end of the year. Kiddos give their pizza a thumbs up!
Landon wanted to put pickles and croutons on his pizza.......
.......and then he ate it. :)

Kickoff to Summer Fun
The kids get out of school next week, so Scott decided to pull out the water slide for them this weekend to kick off their summer break. I would say the kiddos had a blast with it today.

Emma's Dance Recital
Emma performed in two dance recitals today and this was after her second show. Here she is with her friend Abby who started dance this year.
We had to get pics in front of the big backdrop. This was her tap outfit, but she still had on her ballet shoes from a previous costume.
Here is everyone that came to see her in her second show. GranGran, Papi, Grandma Mary, and Aunt Ashleigh came to see her in her first show along with Scott and I. Here is Emma in her jazz costume.
Landon and Heidi made it to intermission at the halfway point in the show, but then they were DONE. Scott hung out with them in the main area of the college while Emma was not dancing. When she came on stage for her dance, they stepped inside the auditorium to watch her. Landon was pretending he was holding on to his Polar Express ticket. He loves that movie.
We will take a much needed break from dance and will see if Emma wants to take again next year after summer break. She had practice two days a week beginning in August and finishing up tonight. Her dance abilities have grown so much this past dance year.

Pizza & Cubby Awards
Mom and Heidi met us at Newk's for dinner. We all love their pizza.
Then Scott, Emma, Landon, and I headed to church to see Landon get his cubby award. He has been going to Cubbies since August and has learned some bible verses, bible stories, and songs along the way. Tonight they were able to sing a few songs and recite some bible verses for us. It was cute and Landon was so excited during the singing of the songs. We will take a couple months break and then he will pick up Cubbies 2 after summer.

Emma's Dance Costumes
Emma has her big dance recital this Saturday so we spent some time this afternoon taking pictures of her in her dance costumes. She is renting one costume, so that one cannot leave the dance studio. Landon had to get in on the action too, especially of her in her cowgirl costume.
We are so excited to see her on the big stage in just a few days!!! She is completing her 4th year of dance.

Baseball, Birthday Party, Dance, and Reunion
This busy Cinco de Mayo Saturday started out with Landon playing his final baseball game.
As soon as his game was over, he got his trophy. Here he is with his coach. We had a great first year of baseball.
We then headed to Heidi's 2nd birthday party at our local gymnastics place. Landon & Emma always have a blast there. We didn't get many party pics, but did manage to get this one of Landon. :)
Landon went back to NaeNae's house with the Yaikow kiddos after the party and Scott, Emma, and I went to her dance recital rehearsal. Here she is in one of her dance costumes. She has really improved so much in her dance this year.
As soon as rehearsal was over, we went back to my mom's where we were having a small reunion with the Yaikow's and those who were closest to them while they were here as youth minister. Here are Landon and the two girls resting and relaxing before the get together.
Another time for the golf cart and this time added more kiddos and an extra adult. :)
Brittany, Kalynn, and I have been friends for 20 plus years. We don't all get together at the same time much these days with life, jobs, and kids, but when we do get together, we always just pick right back up where we left off.
Landon would eat popsicles all day long if we let him. They are definitely a favorite of his.
Freshly bathed kiddos staying another night at NaeNae's wraps up this busy Saturday!
We will get up in the morning and meet them all at Lakeside to hear Scott preach and then enjoy lunch with everyone there for Homecoming.
