Scott spent some time working on baseball techniques with Landon today. He starts back real soon for his second season and he is so excited! He already has on his game face! 

Emma & Her Love of Cats

Emma went with me to a baby shower today for a co-worker. The host has an outdoor cat and Emma quickly fell in love. The cat had mutual feelings as he climbed and made himself comfortable in her lap. Too bad for Emma, Scott won't allow cats inside our house. She says she will get one when she gets older and on her own. :)

Emma Birthday Trip to Target

Emma has been begging for her very own Target gift card. These sweet friends got it for her and then were even willing to take her to spend her gift card. 

Frozen Night

Emma went with Reagan to her church tonight for their Frozen Night. They played games and made crafts all around the movie, Frozen. When Scott picked up Emma, she was covered in stickers. She had a blast!

Emma & Reagan Tackle Chuck E. Cheese

Reagan's Pop took her and Emma to Chuck E. Cheese after school today. They had fun collecting as many tickets as possible. 

 Scott, Landon, and I hung out together and then met up with them when they finished playing and redeeming their tickets. Their big stash of tickets got them each a headband and a sucker. I guess it is the fun and memories made that matter the most!

Landon and His Pinecone

Landon brought this pinecone to my class yesterday afternoon. He picked it up at his school. His teacher taught them a trick with pinecones and he wanted to try it out with his own pinecone. He filled a bucket with water this morning and put his pinecone in it to soak. This afternoon when he came back to my room, he went to check on his pinecone and it had closed up. So cool! I learned something right along with Landon. It closes up to protect the seeds. As it dries out, it will open back up. 

Spiderman Loves Cucumbers

Before bed tonight, Landon wanted to turn into Spiderman. And then Spiderman needed a bedtime snack and so he requested cucumbers. I am so thankful Landon loves his fruits and vegetables!

Best Birthday Ever!

The other part of the surprise was a trip to Magic Kingdom yesterday!

We rode lots of rides, ate plenty of food, met some of the characters, smiled and laughed often, made many memories, and had such a great time!

We always try to open and close down the park and the fireworks show is one of our favorite things to do and watch!

Emma's 8th Birthday

We woke up to an 8 year old! S/he was so excited to see she her presents. We got her a sequin unicorn book bag and a mermaid tail.

Then we were off to grab breakfast at Denny's before our appointment at the American Girl store. 

After breakfast, we made our way to her requested birthday wish! She already had the Wellie Wishers from previous Christmas and birthdat gifts. She got Nanea from Santa this year and then NaeNae gave her Tenney for her birthday gift this year before we came on our trip. She wanted to bring them all into the store. 

Landon was being silly while waiting in line to have the dolls spoiled at the spa.

We got their hair fixed, nails/toes painted, and ears pierced. 

Then we were off to the bistro for our lunch. Emma ordered a yummy milkshake. 

Landon and I went outside to play while we waited on our food. He was having a lot of fun playing on the neat playground they had outside the mall. 

Then we went back inside and Emma ate a quesadilla.

Landon ate cheese pizza. 

Then Emma got to decorate her cupcakes with icing and sprinkles. 

After leaving American Girl, we went around the mall and to Target before heading to City Walk. We did not stay long, but did grab dinner before heading back to the hotel for the night. 

I would say her birthday was spent doing things she LOVES!
