Emma's Birthday

Yesterday was Emma's actual birthday. We started the day by going to church. She has cried the last two Sunday's when we dropped her off. She did not cry yesterday though. :) I was surprised because there were two kids screaming, but she just stood there eating her snack while we walked out of the door. We were so proud of her. Our big TWO year old! :) Then we met mom, Brandon, and Krista at Zaxby's for lunch. It was so good.
It was so good. Emma was in such a fun and silly mood while we were there. Yes, she was waiting on her TV show to come on.
My mom took her back to her house so Scott and I could go grocery shopping. We have taken her plenty of times with us before, but it is much easier and quicker when we can run in and get what we need. I will say though that she loves to sit in the car grocery cart at Publix which is where we went- but I also know she had a blast at my mom's. If we go to other places that do not have the car grocery cart, it is a good ten minutes and she is wanting out of the buggy!
They were probably watching Mickey Mouse on TV in her play room.
I mean if that does not look relaxed!!! :)
We came home and she took a nice nap. Then she wanted to go play outside since Scott was cleaning out the garage. Her dress kept getting in the way so Scott tied it up for her.
She was watching her BoBo (a stuffed Dalmatian that mom got her for Christmas) go down the slide. She is a fun little mess!! :)
She then wanted her BoBo shirt to wear so she could go back outside and water the plants.
She stood there so still and watered for the longes time. I know we are going to have so much fun this spring and summer outside playing.
My good friend who is a nurse got Emma this nurse kit for her birthday. She played with it last night right before bed and Scott said she wanted to play with it again this morning. And to think she was afraid to put this instrument around her neck just the night before this picture was taken. :)
She had a wonderful birthday!!!

Puppy Dog PAW-TY

Here is Emma's 2nd birthday party. Scott made this picture of her at birth, one years old, and now to see just how much she has grown and changed in two short years.
We had her birthday party at a local gymnastics place. She went to a party there this past summer and loved it so we knew from that day that her birthday party would be there. This sign was given to us when I was pregnant. We used it last year and again this year. It was hung on the door that led inside the gymnastics place.
This balloon was tied to the chair Emma sat at to eat.
Here is our table. We went all out for her first birthday party. We did not have to do much with this one, but still wanted to make it cute and fun!
Her cupcakes were made to look like puppy hair and then she added a puppy paw print on top. They were cute and tasted amazing!
Here is her cake. I told the lady that made it that I trusted her and she could design it however she wanted to and she made it match the invitations. I loved it!! We have found our go to lady for cupcakes/cookies/cakes from now on! :) Everyone bragged on how cute they were and how good they tasted.
Just a close up of the cake design.
Once guests started to arrive, the kids all went out to play. They had such a blast for the hour of play time.
That is Emma's school friend, Brooks and my friends daughter, Avery with Emma in their special castle the coaches made for them.
Here is another school friend, Caroline.
Stephanie is Scott's cousin.
Brooks was drooling and some fell on Emma. She was not too thrilled about it. Ha!
Here is sweet Jaxon. They are church friends.
This is Kenley. Her mom and I were due on the same date. Emma was born January 6th and Kenley came January 8th- both due to being induced! They did not want to leave the womb!!
This is Avery's sister Hadley.
Sweet sweet Abby met Emma at school and her and I work together- right across the hall from each other. :)
Emma loved climbing on this fort and going down the slide. She did this about fifty times. Not even kidding!!
Sweet Brooks again!
Jaxon's sister Kylan was swinging on the rope swing.
This is Iris. Her mom and I have been friends for sixteen years now. We grew up in church together.
Then it was time for cake/cupcakes, cheetos, and ice cream. Emma was already snacking on her cheeto. She was looking at the cake as I was bringing it to her.
The time was perfect because the kids were starting to get hungry from playing so hard.
We started singing to Emma and I guess when she heard everyone say her name, she got nervous and bashful. She wanted me to hold her. She has been practicing blowing out the candles at home, but did not want to do it in front of everyone so I got the honor. :)

My cousin's little girl Adaleigh.
After everyone ate and then we opened presents.
Emma was too busy so I opened them and would give her a present every so often to play with while I opened some more.

She was one tired girl after her big paw-ty. After the presents were opened she wanted her juice. This was the last picture Scott took of the party. She had a blast!!
She was showing off her new TOMS my mom gave her for her birthday. :)
Mommy and Daddy love you so much sweet girl!! HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY! :)

Big Events Coming Up

We have two big events coming up soon! One is Emma's birthday party/birthday. Her party is tomorrow and her birthday is Sunday. When Scott got off work today, we went to pick up her cake and cupcakes her her "PAW-TY"!! She loves dogs so we went with a puppy theme this year. The cake was made to match her invitations.
Her cupcakes were made to look like dog hair. We tried two of them tonight and they were amazing! :) A birthday party post will be added soon.
In a little more than two months, Emma will be a flower girl in my long time friend's wedding. I am the Matron of Honor in that wedding. Here she was trying on her flower girl dress. It fits almost perfect- we are hoping she does not have a big growth spurt before then. :)
After bringing the cake/cupcakes home and getting Emma, we went and had "create your own stir fry" for dinner. It was so good!
Then we went to a shoe store where Emma found some cowgirl boots she had to try on. Yes, they were about ten times too big and they were two different shoes. Ha!! She was also being bashful for the camera. Hopefully she won't be bashful for her party tomorrow. :)

Our Shopping, Cookie, and "Bubba" Loving Girl

She has enjoyed her days at home with Mommy and Daddy and was not wanting to get up early to go to school!
We went to the mall Thursday after work so Scott could buy a shirt with a giftcard he got for Christmas. He also wanted to look at some shoes he has been wanting. After he bought the shirt, she insisted on holding the bag while in the mall. It was pretty cute! Then she instantly spotted the cookie place on the way to look at the shoes. We may or may not have bought her a cookie. :)
We left the mall and grabbed dinner. After dinner, we met my brother at the gym so Scott could sign up with him. We parked right in front of the door and Emma could see them the whole time they were signing up for the membership. She calls my brother, "Bubba" and probably said it 30 times. Then when he came to see her, she insisted he sit in our car beside her. When he got out to get into his truck, she cried big crocodile tears. She loves her some "Bubba"!!

2013!!!!!!!

We went to my mom's after lunch to watch the GA game. After the game, we ate a feast! My mom cooked fried chicken, rice, corn, black eye peas, greens, rolls, dressing & gravy, and pecan pie. It was all sooooo good!!! We are home now. Emma has had a bath and is in bed. Scott goes back to work tomorrow. He has been off for the last eleven days. It has been so nice to get all of that time together without having to go on vacation. :) I will return back to work on Thursday. We are excited for 2013. The first big thing is Emma's 2nd birthday party this coming Saturday. Here is Cali, our first baby! She has not totally been forgotten!! Emma sure does love her.
