Our school always has a fall picnic the Friday before Thanksgiving break. In Second grade, they always do a pow wow before their picnic. I was able to sneak down to see Emma at her pow wow. She had fun doing things that reminded them in time long ago. She feather painted with mashed blueberries, ate lacy cornbread, and created her own vest with Indian symbols.
