Mini Getaway

I have been on Spring Break this week and Scott is between jobs, so he had the week off too. Normally when we have the same week off, we are off on vacation. It was so nice to chill out at home for most of the week. Emma went to stay the night with Pappy and Susi and kids on Sunday night. We picked her back up Monday afternoon. She was able to meet Susan's side of the family for the first time. We tried to relax most of Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday we decided to go to Atlanta for the night. We wanted to take Emma to the Atlanta Zoo. We ate at Olive Garden on the way up to Atlanta.
She loved the breadsticks....but who doesn't??
We are finally getting one in town this coming September. It was so good. Then we went to the zoo once we got to Atlanta.
A quick picture before looking at the reptiles.
Emma loved the giraffes!! She also loved riding the Carousel. She was mad when it was over and Scott was trying to get her off. (We are going to Orlando this summer and one of the theme parks has a Dr. Seuss Carousel, so I know we will have to ride it several times.)
We left the zoo and went to one of the malls. Then we ate at Chipotle (Scott was not too sure about at first, but we both ended up loving it.) It was the first time we had tried it. Emma loved the black beans!!! Then we went across the street and got two slices of cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. They were yummy!! The next morning, we had breakfast in the hotel. Emma ate just about everything they offered. We ran to Ikea, Garden Ridge, and The Tanger Outlet Mall before heading home. We made what we thought would be a quick stop in Macon for some cupcakes from a place I had heard good things about. We got off at the wrong end and it took awhile to get to the place, but we finally found it. They were worth the drive. I wish we had a cupcake place in town. It was such a nice getaway. Our next trip will be this summer to Orlando and it won't be such a quick trip. Seven nights.....I can't wait for us to make so many more memories with Emma.
