Lazy Sunday

It has been a lazy day. We came to moms after church to eat lunch. Sandra fixed some amazing pork chops and rice. We also had green beans, corn, biscuits, and cake. Emma loved eating it all.

Then I took Emma outside to play in the yard. She loves outside and the weather today feels great!! She loved picking up the leaves. 

I rocked Emma to sleep for her nap time. I love that she lets me rock her. She use to not like being rocked to sleep, but we rock her to sleep just about every night now. She is currently passed out on mom's bed with mom. Scott and Krista are asleep in the living room. Sandra and I are being lazy on the computer and poor Brandon is at work.

We have been so busy lately, that lazy days like today are just what we needed!! 

Christmas Shopping & Visiting Family

We had a pretty lazy morning today. Took our time getting ready. Then we went to Verizon to order me an I-phone 4s. We then went to mall and got Emma something for Christmas. I went ahead and got some of Scott's presents even though he was with us. He was afraid they wouldn't have any left when I went back to get them. He knows what I bought him...just doesn't know exactly what it is. The man is funny...he hates surprises!!

Then we came back home to relax for a little bit. Later this afternoon we went to visit with Scott's grandparents. We watched part of the Georgia game over there. Then we went to eat supper with his mom and Larry. She fixed BBQ and Cheesecake....two of Scott's favorites from her. They were both great. Emma loved eating everything on my plate! We finished watching the GA game over there.

We are home relaxing and sweet little girl is sleeping good. It has been a good day!

Trip With the Girls

I am thankful for trips with my favorite girls. I had Thursday and Friday off due to a furlough day and then Veteran's Day. I love to go places on my days off. I found out mom and Krista had today off too, so we decided to go to Atlanta. My mom and Krista had never been to Ikea before. We left Thursday night after Krista got off work and went quickly to Tanger Outlet Malls. I was worried we would not make it before they closed, but we did. I treated myself to a Coach purse. Then we found our hotel room after visiting Atlanta airport first....got off at wrong exit. Emma thought it was play time at the hotel and it took her awhile to go to sleep. She did the same thing a few weeks ago when we stayed with Scott's family.....she knew she wasn't in her normal routine and house.

We woke up today and went to Ikea first. We had their 99 cent breakfast which consisted of eggs, hash browns, and sausage.....it was awesome! After we ate, we did some shopping there. Then we went to Lenox Mall and did some more shopping. Shopping with a baby is different....totally worth it, but didn't take many pictures of our trip because I was having too much fun just enjoying the moments!

It was a quick, but nice trip with just us girls. I did several things on this trip I do not like doing......driving at night and driving in downtown Atlanta. Yes, it was guaranteed I was going to have to turn around just about everywhere we went because I either missed my exit or got off at the wrong one. But we made it everywhere we intended to....maybe just a little later than we were hoping for. :) 

Still shopping at Ikea. She is such a happy girl....unless she is hungry or tired!

Sleeping Beauty

I love going in after Emma has gone to sleep to look at her. She looks so precious & peaceful when she sleeps.

It is one of the last things Scott and I do before getting ready for bed. Emma has no idea how much of a blessing she is to us. She has brought us so much joy!!

Picking Out Her Presents & Eating Cheesy Bread

Emma and I went to see my dad tonight. My dad knows how much Emma loves looking at sales papers so he already had a stack on the floor waiting on her. She went right to town tearing them up. She found the Sam's one and had it opened looking at it. She was showing me what she wanted for Christmas and her birthday!!

We ordered a pizza and as soon as I sat down with mine, she thought she needed some. I gave her some of my cheesy bread and she loved it. This was after she had a full bottle and a jar of apple, mango, and kiwi. I know I have said this before, but the girl LOVES her food.

She kept saying "mama" all night. It is the sweetest sound!! We enjoyed our visit.

Sonic Cokes & Sweet Girl

Today I am very thankful for Sonic coke. I could drink it everyday. I love the taste of their cokes. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the crushed ice!!! And the prices during Happy Hour are awesome. I picked one up after work today and it made my day even better.

I can't do a post without including this sweet girl. God has blessed us with such a sweet and happy baby. 

OJan's Birthday

Today is my mom's birthday. I could not have asked for a better mom. She has always been there for Brandon and I and I know she always will. I can count on her for anything. And she has crazy amounts of love for this little sweet girl!!

Several of us(Krista, Jeff, Sandra, Dacia, John, Cody, Emma, and I) took mom out to eat at Makata's. It was very good. Her two sons(Brandon and Scott) were working.

The guy cooking the food was funny. Emma got scared when he did the fire....last time we took her to a place like this, it didn't bother her.

Emma went crazy over the soup they brought mom. Emma also loved eating the sherbert they brought to us after we were done with our meal.

Sandra got mom a cake which was delicious. Emma had to try it too!! The girl LOVES food.

Happy Birthday again mom!! I am so thankful for you. I hope I am as good of a mom to Emma as you are to all of us!!
